For each International Congress on Radiology (ICR), a Congress Coordinating Committee (CCC), comprised of diverse international experts, is appointed. It sets overall congress policies and priorities and ensures that the congress pillars of community, leadership and science are reflected across the agenda. Representing the host city of Muscat, Dr. Saqar Altai is joined with Dr. Eric J. Stern, Chairman of the International Commission on Radiology Education (ICRE) at the International Society of Radiology (ISR), in leading the ICR 2020 CCC.

Dr. Altai is a senior Consultant Radiologist in the Radiology Department , the Royal Hospital, Ministry of health, Muscat, Oman.
Dr. Altai has served as Director of the Radiology Department,the Royal Hospital, Muscat, president of Oman Radiology and molecular imaging society, Director of the Radiology Residency program and is the chairman of the central Radiology committee in the ministry of health, Oman.
Dr. Eric J. Stern, ICR 2020 Congress Co-Chair, Seattle
International Radiology Educator
Dr. Stern, specializing in Thoracic Imaging, is a Professor of Radiology, Medicine, Medical Education, and Global Health, in the Department of Radiology at the University of Washington, in Seattle.
He is the author of over 110 papers as well as seven textbooks on Chest Radiology.
Dr. Stern, founding President of the AUR Alliance of Clinician-Educators in Radiology, is the former Editor-in Chief of the journal Current Problems in Diagnostic Radiology, former Deputy Editor of the AJR, and the founding and current Editor in Chief of GO RAD, a global outreach journal of the International Society of Radiology.
Among his many other roles, Dr. Stern has served as President of the Society of Thoracic Radiology, President of the Washington State Radiology Society, member of the ACR Council Steering Committee member, and is current Chair of the AUR International Relations Committee, and the ISR International Commission on Radiology Education.
